Yeah, we could have functional input but no we have to destroy our planet to summarize a one sentence email into a multi-paragraph bulleted list - it’s bullshit
on android Heliboard + the swype library is ok. It’s at least consistent.
Normally i would disagree completely as texts have crappy input on a small screen and are meant to be fast. I have typos in mine constantly because swide input and it’s obvious what the word should have been.
But yeah, an important text like this does merit at least one read through.

No cold flow would move mass to the lower side when being held vertically causing an imbalance. If you spin up a balanced disk it comes to rest at a random angular position or motor pole.
Randomizing the side of the disk that is down regularly and with relatively short intervals keeps the average displacement of mass due to cold flow near zero.
Of course rotating would also work but that would require a motor with fine positional control when reliable systems thrive on simplicity.

Spin them once daily or weekly. As long as they’re balanced that should randomize the gravity vector.
It’s also almost certainly a different composition than century old glass panes made for buildings. So the material itself might mitigate this issue
The second hard drive can be linux native file format and you can run an individual(duplicate) install of each there. SATA/SSD will be plenty fast for these games.
It’s a temporary solution until she’s comfortable enough with linux to ditch the windows install. So the wasted space(Windows install/drive) can be reclaimed and reformatted later on.

Assuming your wife is new to Linux: Get secondary hard drive and boot Linux off that, set Linux to first entry in grub. If your wife ends up frustrated with Linux then she can just boot back into windows instead of dealing with undue frustration and possible resentment.
Windows 10 still works fine and will continue to for a long time (you’re literally running a win7 VM). If you’re worried about security or whatever just don’t use it for sensitive stuff. For gaming? Security updates don’t matter.
