Anthropic accidentally shipped a 59.8 MB source map in its npm package, exposing 512,000 lines of Claude Code's TypeScript source. The community responded with clean-room rewrites, architectural deep dives, and the fastest repo to 50K stars in GitHub history.
i really hope deepseek and qwen use this for their software, i love claude but it’s too paywalled
Almost certain that they’re going to study this and take what’s useful. Worth noting it’s not the model itself, rather it’s a harness for agentic coding. But it turns out making a good harness makes a huge difference for the models https://blog.can.ac/2026/02/12/the-harness-problem
yeah, from what i know this is what’s been making claude so useful, it wasn’t a really good database but rather how they curate the response generation from what i understand
Yeah, they’ve done a really good job with the tool keeping the model on track. Hopefully, now these tricks will start getting integrated in tools like opencode.
