Skill issue. You just didn’t set up your tsconfig properly to begin with, which allowed someone to sneak in unsafe code.

That’s like one of the few good uses for LLMs in development - setting up new projects, but AI haters will downvote you no matter what.
It’s also dynamically typed and inferior to TypeScript.
