I was thinking this 20+ years ago and it makes me sad that Windows is still treated like a product worth using. My work machine is my most hated device in terms of software. Such garbage.

Until recently I was buying second hand games for my Xbox One. Then I got a Steam Deck and that was that.

I’m perhaps the outlier in that I felt like San Andreas felt like they’d thrown shit at the wall to see what would stick. Most of the extra mechanics didn’t land for me at all and I was pleased to see them gone.

I prefer writing JSON by hand. The whitespace stuff in YAML is just such a nuisance as far as I’m concerned, which is odd as I have no problem with it in Python.

As someone who works with YAML regularly:

I enjoyed it up to the end where it was revealed it’s connected to another game series that I do not care for. That immediately killed my entire emotional investment in the game.

GitHub was founded in 2008 so nearly half its life it has been owned my MS. Yeah, “recent” doesn’t feel like a good fit here.

If it can only handle tasks I can do myself it’s not very useful.

My experience has been that more complex cases it simply cannot manage. It’ll swear blind that it’s got it right and the result will be super specific to the example provided. If I knew what the strings would be exactly, in advance, I wouldn’t be writing regex 😂

Shall we ask it to write functional regex too while we’re at it?
