And while using Linux is great (so long as your software supports it), setting it up is not seamless. If you want to install Linux, new users have to spend 8 hours surfing 20 boards to be told 30 different answers about which distro to use. And that’s before you even get started.
If you want to install Windows, you just fucking install Windows.
