Fixing Headphones with REAL LEATHER

Repairing the ear cushions and headband on my Bose over ear headphones with some beautiful leather. Yes, you could spend $20 on perfect, boring, fake leather...

Has anyone tried this? I want to do this but the ones he makes in the video don’t come out so great. Any tips?
