Programmer Humor@programming.dev•How do you deal with the obligatory hoody and sunglasses in this warm weather?
2·16 days agoWe suffer for our fashion and our art.
I tried it but I prefer “Comet” for the tough jobs. /s

Space@beehaw.org•Voyager 1 is still transmitting from beyond the heliosphere on 22 watts — less power than the bulb in your hallway — and the engineers who built it in the 1970s never expected we'd still be listening
61·29 days agoThat was back when bulbs lasted almost forever until they changed them so they’d break earlier so you’d have to spend money to buy more bulbs. Voyager is like the bulbs of old.
A henway.
They should publish an add-on and call it “Mister Ed”.

Technology@beehaw.org•"CEO said a thing!" journalism involves parroting the claims of a business leader or executive with absolutely no context, correction, or challenge whatsoever, no matter how elaborate the delusion
71·3 months agoWho believes billionaire media anymore? It’s not journalism, just more spin/entertainment designed to ignite a fire of hate between american citizens for dollars. I say we build a guillotine for capitalism (the rest of the shitty billionaires will fall soon afterwards).
I like the last pic where wil smith slapped himself.

2·4 months agoI use paper scribblers and a pen or pencil, plus an index book so I can compile what I am entering, but I’m not in any hurry though. /s

32·4 months agoI think we are starting to discover that all of the well-paid, big-bonus leaders of business are nothing more than stupid, greedy fools. Let’s start putting those big salaries and bonuses back to the workforce, okay?

Let me put it this way then. I wonder if they will give him credit for his knowledge because he proved he knows what “alphabetical order” is. Will he lose any credit because he didn’t follow, or misunderstood, the question? Will he be marked on what he knows or how he understands the query?
They lost me at $499. A phone that is just a phone should be about a hundred bucks max. I didn’t read the article though. Maybe it’s still very computery.
